Overview

Know your numbers, understand what they mean.

High blood pressure rarely has symptoms, which is why a quick check matters. We take an accurate reading in-store while you wait, and a pharmacist explains exactly what your numbers mean.

If a single reading isn't enough, we offer 24-hour ambulatory monitoring, a small device that tracks your blood pressure across a full day and night for a clearer, more reliable picture.

Getting an accurate reading

Small things that help us get it right.

Avoid caffeine beforehand

Try to skip coffee, tea and smoking for about 30 minutes before your check.

Rest for a few minutes

Sit calmly for a few minutes first, rushing in can push the reading up.

Wear loose sleeves

So we can fit the cuff comfortably on your upper arm.

Bring previous readings

If you monitor at home, bring your numbers so we can compare.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book?

No. Just call in during opening hours for an in-store reading. For 24-hour monitoring we’ll arrange a suitable time to fit the device.

What is 24-hour monitoring?

You wear a small, discreet monitor that automatically takes readings across a full day and night, giving a far more accurate picture than a single check.

What if my reading is high?

One high reading isn’t a diagnosis. The pharmacist will advise whether to monitor, make lifestyle changes, or see your GP.
